Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Complete refund excluding handling charges

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for credit card transactions

Conditions: Needs to be requested via written communication like email or telephone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the entire charter cost

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Processing Fee: €25 reduced from refund amount

Conditions: A valid reason is necessary; administrative expenses are incurred

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: No refund possibility

Exception: Consideration for emergency situations

Alternative: Charter credit could be proposed at the discretion of the management

Conditions: Emergency situations must be substantiated with proper documentation

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety is paramount. Should the charter conditions be deemed unsafe by our certified captain due to the weather, we offer several options:

  • Full Refund: A complete refund is issued if alternate scheduling is not an option
  • Reschedule: Relocating your charter to the next available slot without additional costs
  • Charter Credit: Issue of a credit valid for one year from the date of the original charter

Weather Assessment Process

The weather evaluation consists of:

  • Analyzing wind speed and trajectory
  • Checking wave stature and sea conditions
  • Evaluating visibility and precipitation outlooks
  • Monitoring Coast Guard advisories and bulletins
  • Assessment of safety by our professional captain

Decision Timeline: Determinations regarding weather cancellations are made at least 4 hours before the planned departure time.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Conditions

We empathize with the occurrence of sudden medical emergencies. The following scenarios may be eligible for exceptional consideration:

  • Unexpected illness or injury demanding hospital admittance
  • A death within the immediate family
  • Conscription or urgent summons for military service
  • Summon for jury duty or a legal court order
  • Natural disasters impacting travel arrangements

Documentary Evidence Requirements

Documentation is required to support claims for emergency refunds, such as:

  • Hospital records or a medical certificate
  • Notice of a family member's passing, if applicable
  • Formal military directives
  • Court-issued subpoena or jury summons
  • Emergency declarations or travel advisories

Processing: Submitted documents for emergency refund petitions are processed typically within a 3-5 day timeframe.

Operational Cancellations

Technical Complications

If the assigned yacht cannot sail due to mechanical issues:

  • Substitute Yacht: We aim to provide a yacht of equal standing
  • Full Refund: Granted when no comparable yacht is available for substitution
  • Partial Refund: Offered in case of price differences with the alternative vessel
  • Compensation: We may extend further recompense to account for any inconvenience caused

Staffing Disruptions

In the rare event where there is no available certified crew:

  • Substitute crew will be sought where feasible
  • Full refund in cases where the charter cannot be conducted
  • Possibility to reschedule with no additional fees

Refund Processing

Method of Payment

The return of funds is processed via the initial payment method employed for the booking:

  • Credit Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: Taking 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: Completed within 3-5 business days

Bank Transfer Operations

€25 charge applied to all refunds via bank transfer

Charter Credits

Conditions for Credit Issuance

In certain cases, rather than a refund, a credit for charter services might be provided:

  • Late notice of cancellation (under 24 hours)
  • Cancellations due to adverse weather
  • User-led requests for rescheduling
  • Service interruptions

Credit Stipulations

  • Validity: Credits are valid for use within a 12-month period from the date of issuance
  • Transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to other individuals
  • Value: Reflects full charter value and is exclusive of handling charges
  • Redemption: Applicable towards any charter that has availability
  • Expiration: Credits must be redeemed within the designated twelve-month period without eligibility for extension

Refunds for Incomplete Service

Disruptions During the Charter

Should your time on the yacht be curtailed or interrupted due to issues within our jurisdiction:

  • A refund proportionate to the unused portion of the charter
  • Credit towards a subsequent charter of equivalent value
  • Complimentary services or potential upgrades

Disturbances Caused by Guests

Termination of a charter ahead of schedule due to guest behavior or breaches of safety will lead to:

  • No reimbursement for the portion of the service not utilized
  • Full payment of the charter fee remains mandatory
  • Potential additional charges for breaches of contract

Settling Disputes Over Refunds

If you are in disagreement over a decision concerning a refund, the following courses of action are available:

  • Request an appraisal of your case by our administrative team
  • Submit any supplementary documents or proofs
  • Look for solutions through consumer advocacy agencies
  • Exercise any legal options permissible by law

Step 3: Review and Execution

Upon receipt of your request, our team will confirm within 24 hours, evaluate the request in line with our policy, notify you of the decision within 48 hours, and if approved, execute the refund in the periods specified herewith.

Important Notes

  • All refund requisitions must be documented in writing
  • Refunds are issued in € irrespective of the currency utilized for the original transaction
  • Purchasing travel insurance is strongly advised
  • The refund policy is subject to amendment, given 30 days' notice
  • Refunds may be influenced by relevant taxes and legal provisions
